General Description

The M0155 series fiber optic transceiver modules from Wamin provide physical layer interfaces for SONET OC-3 or SDH STM-1 at the data rate of 155.52 MBd over multimode fiber. This physical layer is defined in the ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Forum

User-Network Interface (UNI) Specification Version 3.0, which describes the interface for 2 km multimode fiber backbone links.

The outline of the transceiver modules is compliant with industry standard package utilizing an integrated LC duplex optical interface connector. The hot-pluggable

capability of the SFP package allows the module to be installed and uninstalled without shutting off the host system. This minimizes the system down time for maintenance or configuration change.
